Even though you might want to take advantage of a cheap flight to Delhi, you really should spend some time in the city exploring the many impressive attractions. Explore ancient fortresses and majestic ruins where you can discover the history of this exciting and exotic India country. Here you will find a blend of the past and the present. Many dynasties have ruled this country through its lengthy and sometimes stormy history. The city of Delhi was destroyed on seven different occasions and has been rebuilt better each time. The many monuments throughout the city detail the pain and sorrow suffered by the people and stand as a testament to the past.

Forts and Monuments

A cheap flight to Delhi offers the opportunity to visit the forts and monuments of the city. There are so many sights to see in this great city that it is only possible to list a few of them.

Visit what some believe to be the predecessor of the Taj Mahal at Humayun’s Tomb. This monument, built of red sandstone by Haji Begum, the wife of Humayun, dates back to the mid 1500’s. It is one of the best examples of Mughal architecture in all of India. On the way to this tomb, you can also visit a mosque, called the Nizam-Ud-Din Shrine. Inside you will see a tank surrounded by tombs, but most importantly, it is the location of the famous Sufi saint for which the shrine is named.

Even if you don’t plan a layover as part of the itinerary of your cheap flight to Delhi, but have a few hours to wait, you will be able to visit the Safdarjung Tomb, as it is located quite close to the airport. This monument tells the story of a dying empire as the Nawab of Avadh built it for his father. It dates back to the mid-1700’s and lies in the middle of a garden spanning more than 300 square meters.

A must see when you do get a chance to fly to Delhi on a cheap flight is the Red Fort. This impressive fort has a perimeter of more than 3km, and the height of the wall ranges from 18 to 30 meters in places. During the evenings, you can enjoy a light and sound show that will give you a eyefull into the history of Delhi and the part the fort played in that history. The Lahore Gate is the site from which the prime Minister addresses the people on August 15 of each year. Just inside the gate there is a indian market called bazaar, where there is a shopping plaza with many types of items for sale.

The Jama Masjid is the largest mosque in India and dates back to its completion in 1658. This mosque has four towers and two minarets that are 40 meters high. From the top of these minarets, you can enjoy a bird’s eye view of the entire city of Delhi.

Visit the Rose Garden located in the Chanakya Puri section of the city. Here you will see many rare rose varieties. However, the best time to see the roses in bloom is during the months of UK winter. If you are a lover of flowers and want to visit the many botanical gardens of Delhi, you should look for cheap flights around this time of the year.

Getting Around Delhi

Although you might save a lot of money with a cheap flight to Delhi, if you are not used to this city, you shouldn’t try to save money by renting a car. Take advantage of the many ways to travel in Delhi worry free. There are rickshaws or taxis available at the Delhi airport that will take you to your hotel. As soon as you clear customs, there will be many porters offering to carry your bags for you. You can arrange with the hotel where you make reservations to have someone meet you at the airport. If this is so, that person will have a sign bearing your name so that you can identify him. Check at the counter to arrange a taxi, as most of them have established rates from the airport into the city.

When traveling about the city, the hotel can arrange a taxi for you. Delhi is also a city of the taxi rickshaw – a three-wheeled vehicle that is usually about half the price you would pay for a taxi. There is also a bus service that runs from the airport to the center of the city.

Enjoy your visit to Delhi, but remember that this is a big city where you do have to be careful of your belongings.

Miami International Airport is also one of the most busy airports in the United States, as it is the chief worldwide gateway between the United States and Latin America. Miami is rated at third position as an international doorway to the US, nevertheless, behind JFK in New York and LAX in Los Angeles. It serves as a focal point for American Airlines, American Eagle and Executive Air, so those are the flights you should check for out of the ordinary deals on tickets. And if a few of the airport looks familiar, it might be since some shots for the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale were filmed on this particular location.

Cheap Flight Tips to Brazil

If you are planning on cheap flights to Brazil, one of the things you need to realize is that flying to this country is not as cheap as some other destinations, this is because of the country’s rising popularity. There are however some things you can do to help secure your cheap flight to Brazil.

If you’re flying from the US, there are many direct flights you can take from different departures for example Miami or Atlanta. Miami is usually the cheapest airport to fly from attributed to the fact that there are so many Brazilian immigrants living within the Miami area. In fact a little tip here is to search online for travel agencies in the State of Florida (most are in Miami anyway) as they often have good deals on flying to Brazil.

For Canadians however it’s a little bit more difficult because Canadians can only fly directly from Toronto. A cheap flying tip here is to investigate the possibility to fly to an American city that has a Brazil connection.

For Europeans it is much easier to find cheap flights to Brazil, as there are many cities to fly out of , on often direct flights. Further, for European travelers, Lisbon is the best choice because there are more flights to Brazil from the Portuguese capital than anywhere else, and it is often cheaper flying from another European City to Lisbon for a connecting flight to Brazil.

One thing that shouldn’t be overlooked is the charter flight option to Brazil as these offer some really cheap flights to Brazil that should be taken advantage of. A tip here is to consider flying to to cities other than Rio or Sao Paulo.

If you really do some research you’re going to find there are many variations of cheap flights to Brazil and the secret is alwaysto do your research and not just settle for the first deal that comes your way. If possible, try to keep yourself flexible as to time and once again going in the off seasons means you’re going to find that you are going to get substantial savings.

And my final tip for a cheap flight to Brazil is to consider flying to the 2 main cities of Rio or Sao Paulo and booking your own domestic flight at the airport. It is much cheaper than booking Brazil domestic flights online. For instance if you wanted to fly from Miami to Recife but find the flight cost expensive. Consider flying from Miami to Rio then booking an in-country connection to Recife.

Even when the economy is in downturn you can still get great cheap flights to Brazil. The airlines want to encourage people to use their services and they will do so with incentives.

Seatac Airport

The Port of Seattle originally built Seattle-Tacoma (“Sea-Tac”) Airport in the early 1940’s.  The airport, which is now in the city of SeaTac but was originally in unincorporated King County land, is still operated by the Port of Seattle.  The airport is located twelve miles south of Seattle, and twenty miles north of Tacoma.  Following World War II, the first scheduled commercial flights out of Sea-Tac Airport occurred in 1947.  In 1949, International was added to the airport’s name as Northwest Airlines began offering direct service from Sea-Tac to Tokyo.  Local residents commonly refer to the airport as “Sea-Tac”.

Sea-Tac’s runways were expanded in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s to accommodate jets and for increased traffic due to the 1962 World’s Fair in Seattle.  In 1966, SAS Airline began offering non-stop service from Sea-Tac to Europe.  In the early 1970’s, Sea-Tac underwent major expansion in which a second runway was added, a parking garage was built, and two satellite terminals were added, along with other improvements.

There have been less than ten significant accidents or incidents involving airplanes taking off or landing at Sea-Tac.  The last fatal accident was in 1956, when a Northwest Orient Flight headed to Portland, Oregon experienced reduced power and extreme buffeting shortly after take-off.  The pilot was forced to make a water landing in Puget Sound east of Maury Island, less than fifteen miles from the airport.  The plane sank within fifteen minutes of landing, killing five of the thirty-eight on board.

In 1983, following the death of U.S. Senator Henry “Scoop” Jackson, the Seattle Port Commission voted to change the name of airport to Henry M. Jackson International Airport.  The city of Tacoma, which had helped fund construction of the original airport, fought to restore their name to the airport and the name reverted back to Sea-Tac in 1984.  In the early 1990’s, planning began on the construction of a third runway to increase capacity at Sea-Tac.  There was great opposition to the plan from local residents due to noise and environmental concerns.  The airport eventually prevailed and the third runway opened in November 2008, with a construction cost of over one billion dollars.  Today, Sea-Tac serves more than two-dozen airlines and over thirty-two million annual passengers, making it one of the nation’s twenty busiest airports.

San Francisco Airport Parking Solutions

In 2008, the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) ranked as the 10th largest airport in the United States in terms of passengers served, according to the Airports Council International. As with all major international airports, finding parking at SFO can be complicated. But the airport has enough parking options that you shouldn’t have too much trouble if you come prepared.

International Parking Garages

There are two International Parking Garages at SFO, A and G, located in the north and south sides of the airport. From either one of the International Garages, it’s a 10-minute walk to the International Terminals. You can also access the rest of the terminals by riding the AirTrain, which circles around the entire airport. Prices are $2 for 20 minutes and $20 for 24 hours.

The Domestic Parking Garage

The Domestic Parking Garage at SFO is the best place for short term parking. If you’re meeting someone or seeing someone off at one of the domestic terminal, you can park here and take the short 5 minute walk via pedestrian tunnel to the terminals. It’s $2 per 20 minutes and there’s a $33 maximum limit for 24 hours.

SFO Long-Term Parking

The new Long-Term Parking facility has two things going for it: it’s relatively inexpensive and it’s indoors (many long-term parking facilities off-site only have outdoor parking). The cost is $14 per day, and passengers can arrive promptly from their cars at the terminals by taking a free airport shuttle.

Off-Site Parking

Off-site parking facilities offer an alternative to regular airport parking. These facilities are near the airport and usually offer free shuttle services. If you don’t want to deal with the hassle of driving through the airport and want to save a few bucks in the process, look into this option.

The Cell Phone Lot

If you’re driving to the airport just to pick up a passenger and you don’t want to deal with the paid lots, you can wait at the Cell Phone Lot for free. Spaces are first come first serve, but if you find one, you can just wait for your passenger to call once he or she arrives and then meet them at the terminal drop off area or have them meet you at the Cell Phone Lot itself.
