Any time is a great time for a vacation, it doesn’t have to be the summer. You can find some great deals and fewer crowds in the fall and winter. So what are some good ways to find cheap air travel with discount air tickets?

Pretty much anyone who has spent any time at all online knows that there are numerous online travel agencies where you can go to find cheap airfare. Sometimes that’s the best way to go, and sometimes it’s better to just head over to the airline’s official website and take a look there. You may not realize that certain days and certain times may yield better rates, so make sure you check multiple times a day and on different days of the week. It really does make a difference. There have been times I’ve checked for a fare and then an hour later went back to buy it and the price had gone up.

This leads me to the advice to grab the good prices when you find them. That means you need to have in mind what you’re looking for as far as “cheap” so that when you find something anywhere near that you can snap it up. If you wait, it may be too late.

If you’re planning to travel with a friend or family member, ask them to help you out by checking at different times also. Between the two of you, there’s a good chance you’ll find a great ticket price.

If you’re a student, check for student discounts. And remember to cash in your frequent flyer miles. I have a friend who constantly forgets about that.
